Victoria has been practicing architecture since 2016. Her portfolio comprises a wide range of sectors, including educational, leisure, cultural, extensions, refurbishments and high-end residential developments. Her work is driven by a commitment to enhancing the human experience through thoughtful, elegant and highly functional design solutions.
From early concept sketches to fully constructed buildings, Victoria approaches each project with care and precision, ensuring that every design is tailored to the specific needs, lifestyles and aspirations of her clients. She places strong emphasis on collaboration, guiding clients through a clear and engaging design journey; beginning with hand drawn concepts, evolving them into detailed 3D digital models that bring ideas to life and finally developing into production drawings and site realisation.
Victoria has worked closely with leading creatives and consultants integrating design creativity with technical excellence. She believes that this multidisciplinary approach strengthens the overall coherence and quality of each project.
Due to client confidentiality, past project imagery and information has been limited. The following projects provide an overview of work undertaken by Victoria to date.
CONFIDENTIAL THEATRE, LONDON (2024)

Role and involvement:
Victoria has worked with a renown Theatre in West London, supporting them in enhancing their community spaces, including a new terrace refurbishment and refreshed wayfinding design.
The outdoor terrace was design to create a sensory and interactive experience, particularly focused for young children but adaptable to various users, as outlined in the Client brief. The design included adaptable seating and podium, interactive zones, integration of nature and a cohesive lighting design.
PRIVATE ESTATE DEVELOPMENT (2020-2023)

Role and involvement:
Before founding Cosmas DA, Victoria was the junior architect on a large contemporary new build residential Estate, from RIBA Stage 4 Tender stage to Stage 5 Construction.
The design was carefully developed to respect and reflect the rural context of the surrounding site through a modern interpretation. Each fragmentation of the Estate having its individual identity but all connecting to the wider landscape context and in keeping with the surrounding vernacular, with particular emphasis on using local construction materials such as stone and timber.
Victoria had multiple roles throughout the project including leading the extensive landscaping reconfiguration around the Estate, with a strong focus on sustainability, wildlife conservation and reuse of excavation, existing trees and materials on site. She also led the development of the detailed design and tender document for a number of key works packages across the Estate; interiors, landscape, ventilation and electrical, across a number of the multiple buildings in this Estate. She led the design team and collaborating closely with a number of specialist consultants and contractors to achieve the high quality aspirations and product for the Client.
Victoria greatly enjoyed leading the design development of the key Water feature within the central courtyard creating a focal point of the courtyard and enhancing the landscape. The design was developed to envoke emotional resonance, peace and connection to nature. Incorporated were elements of movement of water from one pool to another creating a calm waterfall visual and creating a harmonious sound; podium steps within the pool that connects the landscape to the door of the indoor swimming pool creating an almost magical symbol of walking on water with a number of beautiful sculptures central to the scheme.
HERITAGE GALLERY HOTEL, LONDON (2023)

Role and involvement:
Victoria was the junior architect on the refurbishment of a Grade II listed hotel with integrated gallery in central London. She worked on early stages to establish the existing building condition and integration of hotel rooms and apartments within the spatial constraints. As well as key establishing key refurbishment and renovation of building fabric and interior features, and their integration within the new design proposal.
WINCHESTER UNIVERSITY (2017)

Role and involvement:
Victoria was the junior architect working on a university wing with refurbishment of the first floor main building of the university, working from RIBA Stage 0 to 7. This included the upgrade of MEP and fabric to modern sustainability standards, a number of spatial reconfigurations to kitchen and bathrooms areas, and enhancement of fire walls and systems to be in line with latest fire safety regulation.
MIXED USE RESIDENTIAL & COMMERCIAL DEVELOPMENT, SOUTHAMPTON (2016-2017)

Role and involvement:
Victoria worked on the redesign of this project following planning rejection of the previous architect’s design. This mixed-use project included a healthcare building, retail and 28 two-bedroom dwellings. The façade was redesigned to align more closely the surrounding Georgian architecture, whilst integrating the design within the multiple uses in the scheme, integrating heritage style windows and brick materials. Through her redesign, Victoria added further value for this Client through adding a car park and increasing the number of apartments. Following this redesign, planning was accepted.
THREE DWELLING DEVELOPMENT, SURREY (2016)

Role and involvement:
Victoria worked on the redesign of this project following planning rejection of the previous architect’s design. Her redesign of this multi-dwelling site allowed for increased number of houses whilst enhancing the design and neighbour engagement, and respecting the existing trees on site. Victoria carried out a 3D study to demonstrate the prevention of overshadowing to neighbours which was well received. Following this redesign, planning was accepted.
